On Thursday afternoon, June 28, 2007 firefighters were called out to battle a wildfire threatening homes in the forest community of Walker, 7 miles south of Prescott, Arizona. The fire burned within 30 feet of nearby homes but was halted by fire crews. Another wildfire ignited in the grass near Sierra Drive in Dewey a few hours later, but Central Yavapai Fire District firefighters held it to about one-tenth of an acre and no structures were damaged. Both fires likely were human-caused. This video provides a first-hand look at what local firefighters do to protect homes, property and lives. View more videos at: http://dcourier.com
