Steve and Hope manage to escape from their holding rooms by smashing a window. They don't have much time and take off running. As Steve lifts Hope up to climb a wall they are stopped by one of Ava's gun wielding cousins. Ava's with her psychiatrist who suspects something strange is going on. Ava's agitated because she can't remember things, so the doctor gives her some meds to help. After her doctor leaves, we see a cold and calculating Ava emerge. Ava finds out Hope and Steve have escaped and goes nuts, screaming and breaking things. Steve and Hope are taken back into custody by the cousins. Ava thinks she's going to have to get rid of Kayla so she and Steve can be together. The cousin comes in with a cell. Ava grabs the phone and shows Steve a picture of Stephanie. Ava warns, she will be dead if you or Kayla attempt to escape again. The real Kayla is determined to find Steve. She tells Stephanie she's getting out of the hospital. The baby is out of danger and she has to find her husband. Kayla calls Abe. Abe knows all about Ava. He's sure Steve can handle himself. Kayla must remain calm. Kayla goes to see Bo. Bo tells her he knows Hope is involved with this Ava woman and Steve probably is, too. Bo says he's got to get out of here and find them both. Kayla and Bo argue about who's going after Hope and Steve. They are both determined to get out and find their spouses.
