Tallest fir tree in Europe, put up in Bucharest
A team of 300 Brazilian, Portuguese and Romanian workers worked for more than an hour and a half to put up the tallest fir tree in Europe. The tree is 76 meters high, has seven levels and weighs almost 300 tons. Bucharest locals are thrilled to have the tree and are looking forward for it to be lit up for Christmas. I saw the same tree in Lisbon last year. It's nice to see it in Bucharest, too. I admired it when I got off the tram. It's nice to have it here in Romania, for our children to enjoy. It's very nice. I can't wait to see it lit up on December 1. The Christmas tree can be admired in the Unirii Square in Bucharest until January 6, 2008. Bradul va putea fi admirat in piata Unirii pana pe 6 ianuarie 2008.
