Lebanon before 1975 civil war - part 4 - حرب أهلية لبنانية
Duration: 4:17Source: YouTube
Lebanon is a small multi religious and multi cultural country, not programmed at all to be in the front line or participate in any struggles in the region [even if the cause of the struggle was ,noble, just, fair, and a religious duty ].The role of Lebanon in the region should only be a cultural role. This is a reality [whether we like it or not ],we must be brave enough to accept this fact .Lebanon is not programmed at all [software and hardware if we use computer language] to face other powers militarily [and cannot do so in the future due to various reasons ],so ,Lebanon must be a strictly neutral country on the Swiss model.Stop importing incompatible ideologies from neibouring countries in the region. These ideologies may be ideal or even great ones if applied in other countries, but not in Lebanon.Ideologies have brought havoc and civil war to Lebanon in 1958 and 1975,we must learn many lessons from our previous experiences. If we aim to rebuild our country,we must first know its weak points and its strong ones.We must be ourselves .We demolished our beautiful country in a meaningless war for 17 years,we must not allow this to happen again.Doccuments are better than words, here,I present you some photos of pre war Lebanon, the accompanying song is the song of Zaki Nasseef [Rage3 yet3ammar Lebnan].The sequence of the photos are as follows:1.Downtown Beirut in the early 30s.2.Photo of Charles Dabbas, first presedent of the republic 1 September 1926 -- 2 January 19343.Tomb of Charles Dabbas [2 photos]• 4.Photo of the second Lebanese head of state Habib Pacha Es-Saad: 30 January 1934 -- 20 January 1936• 5.Photo of president Emile Edde: 20 January 1936 -- 4 April 1941• 6.Beirut in the mid 30s.• 7.Photo of the Lebanese presedent Alfred Naqqache: 9 April 1941 -- 18 March 1943 with the Syrian head of state [Taj El Din El Hasani] in the early 40s.• 8.
