Benoit Challenge Response
Duration: 9:27Source: YouTube
I address a response from diane505c sent via PM, she also sent a video link which I will address separately ------------------------------------- Hi, I've just finished watching your video regarding Chris Benoit and his career. I found your video to be very interesting however I disagree with the majority of the points that you make. 1. Chris Benoit in many ways did portray being a "good guy" rather than a "bad guy" prior to his death, however because of his intense, flawless style he would rarely be on the defensive, in the majority of matches he would be dishing out the punishment regardless of the character that he portrayed. I think that true wreslting fans who watches his matches would agress that he allowed his opponent to showcase their talents. 2. When Chris benoit first started to train as a pro wrestler he was trained by Stu Hart in the famous hart dungeon. He did not have any intention of becoming a Greco roman wrestler, instead he intergraded certain wrestling moves and styles into his offensive arsenal that he learned from wrestling in japan, america, canada etc 3. Steroid usage is rife in the wrestling industry nobody Is disagreeing with that, his toxology reports indicated his testosterone levels were elevated to ten times the normal male production. However this was due to his prior usage of steroids before the wwe drug testing policy was implemented, he was receiving hormone replacement theory prior to his death. I think that you will also agree that because so much enthuses is placed on the physiques of the wrestlers that a certain image must be developed if you want to become a top star in the industry. 4. Chris Benoit had great pride in his work, Chris did not have an ego to the extend that other wrestlers currently do. If he was portraying a heel chatacter then obviously he would portray that an ego, I dident have the oppertunity to meet him in person and Im assuming that you didnt either. I think its best that we agree to disagree. He wasn't respected because of his microphone skills or his charisma; he was respected because of his flawless style and his ability to entertain the crowd. 5. Chris Benoit was a leader within the locker room because of his eighteen plus years experience and his passion for the business. During his tribute if you actually watched if you will notice that several wrestlers spoke about how they respected him, not his character and how they looked up to him. One of the wrestlers actually refered to Benoit as his hero.
