SportsHundreds Attend "Bring Brett Back" RallyHundreds Attend "Bring Brett Back" RallyThe Associated PressHundreds of Green Bay Packers fans attended a rally on Sunday, calling on the team to allow quarterback Brett Favre to return to the team, and to do so as the Packers starting quarterback. (July 14)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] It was just four months ago that Brett Favre announced he was retiring. But, now reports from Green Bay are that Favre wants to return ... And apparently not with the Packers. He's asked for his release from the team that he led to two Super Bowls -- winning one of them. But, the Packers aren't biting -- saying they will not release the N-F-L's all-time leader in touchdown passes. On Sunday, more than 100 Packers fans gathered at Lambeau Field -- calling on the Packers to allow Favre to return ... And to make him the team's starting quarterback again. NATS: Bring brett back, bring brett back Some chanting 'bring Brett back' ... Others carrying signs saying, "brett for President," and most wearing number four jerseys ... Fans showed just how much the star-quarterback is still beloved by a certain segment of Packers fans. Organizers of Sunday's rally says another rally is planned for Monday in Milwaukee. They add, they will return to Lambeau Field in Green Bay every Sunday until Favre is once again the Packers' starting quarterback. ___ ___, The Associated Press.(****END****) ANCHOR VOICE:-------------------------VIDEO PRODUCER: Kevin White------------------------------VIDEO SOURCE: WDJT--------------------------VIDEO APPROVAL: Yes------------------------------VIDEO RESTRICTIONS: Courtesy-------------------------------- --SCRIPT/WIRE SOURCE:--------------------------------- ---
