the indian cricket team have put their tour of australia on hold following their second test loss to australia in sydney on sunday, and the banning of this man, spin bowler harbhajan singh, for racial abuse. india lost the second test, and the series, at the sydney cricket ground when the aussies took three wickets in the penultimate over of the match - but a string of poor umpiring decisions during the game left the indians and captain anil kumble distinctly unhappy. soundbite: (english) "but yes, it is difficult and it hurts a lot when you lose like this. when you had a great chance to win a test match and square the (test) series. the series would have been open after this test - but unfortunately, that did not happen. so, in that sense, it really hurts. but having said, you have played enough cricket to understand that its a game, after all." supercaption: anil kumble, india captain. the ill-feeling deepened when harbhajan was banned for three matches after the game for racial comments made to australian all-rounder andrew symonds - a charge harbhajan denies resulting in india appealing the suspension. and so, despite boarding their team coach on monday morning to make the trip to canberra for a tour match later this week, the indian team found themselves back in their sydney hotel soon after. the board of control for cricket in india have said they are suspending operations until there is an outcome in harbhajan's appeal.
