Chapter 21 8:40 @ The Jonas House (Everyone was back at the house, clearly worried about Frankie.) Kevin: "We're gonna have to split up. Nick and Callie, you stay here in case he shows up. Joe and Bridgette, go to the neighbours on the left and see if he's there. Sidney and I will go to the neighbours on the right." Joe: "Okay, come on Bee, let's go." (Joe, Bridgette, Kevin, and Sidney head out of the house.) Callie: "I really hope he's okay. This is all my fault. If I hadn't wanted to go to see the sunset, then none of this would have happened. We would have been home and—(she choked back her tears) " Nick: (pulls her into a tight hug) (soothingly) "Hey, it's going to be all right. It's not your fault at all. It was just a miscommunication. Kevin didn't know we were leaving and we didn't know Kevin was leaving. I'm sure Frank's fine." Callie: (she put her face into Nick's chest and breathed in and out heavily, calming down.) "mmhmm." Nick: "Now let's just look through the house just in case. You can take the upstairs and I'll take the main floor." Callie: (she sniffs) "okay." (she walked upstairs to the long hallway and took a breath. It never ceased to amaze her how nice the Jonas House was. She turned and opened the first door on her left. A closet. No Frankie in there.) "Frankie? Are you up here? This isn't funny. If you can hear me, come out please." (it was no use. But she kept looking upstairs anyways. She didn't let her imagination wander to all the horrible things that might have happened to him. She just focused on the task at hand: Finding him safe. She opened the next door. It was a room. She walked inside, calling Frankie's name quietly.) (thinking) "So this is what Nick's room looks like. Hmm." (she walked around a little bit more, then deciding that there was no Frankie in here, turned to leave. That is until she saw the guitars. There were four in here, and she guessed that he had more in the recording room. She walked over to them and inspected them closely. They were so gorgeous. She picked up an acoustic guitar and strummed a few simple chords.) ???: "Why are you playing Nick's guitar?" Callie: (whirls her head around) "OHMIGOSH! FRANKIE!!" (Puts the guitar back, runs over to him and gives him a hug.) "where were you? We were looking EVERYWHERE!" Frankie: "I know. That's why they call me the Hide-and-seek champion." Callie: "You were just HIDING?!" Frankie: "yup. I only came out cause I had to go to the bathroom. Then I heard the guitar and I thought it was Nick. I had such an awesome spot too. But I can't tell you cause I'm gonna re-use it next game." Callie: "Frankie, this wasn't a game. We were so worried about you! We thought something bad might've happened." Frankie: "Really? I was just hiding in my parents' closet, right under my dad's pants. (his face suddenly fell) Oh No! Now I told you the spot! You have to promise not to tell ANYONE, okay?" Callie: "yeah, I promise, but now we have to go tell everyone that you're okay." Frankie: "sure." (Callie and Frankie walk downstairs and go find Nick and explain the situation.) Nick: "So this was just a game of hide-and-go-seek??" Frankie: "Yeah. I was so good at it. NOBODY found me." Nick: "Ugh! Frankie!! I have to go call Joe and Kevin. One second Callie." (Nick calls Joe and Kevin who are both extremely relieved, but at the same time angry at Frankie. They explain it to Sidney and Bridgette, and al four of them come home.) Bridgette: "Ahh! Frankie! We were so worried about you. We were almost going to call the police and your parents and.. Come here and give me a hug, you!" Frankie: "Sorry, I can't." Bridgette: "Why not?" Frankie: "Cooties."
