CHAN: And Tibetan exiles continue their march reaching India's eastern Buddhist holy town of Bodh Gaya yesterday. There they offered prayers in memory of Tibetans killed in Tibet in the last two months. Let's take a look. STORY: Earlier last month around 135 Tibetans including five women and an 80-year-old man began their nearly 1,000 kilometer march from New Delhi. All along the way they distributed pamphlets to create awareness and garner support for the freedom of their homeland. They offered prayers in memory of Tibetans who died during the Chinese crackdown in Tibet in the last two months. As the marchers approached Bodh Gaya, Sonam Dorje, a member of the Tibetan Youth Congress, said: [Sonam Dorje, Marcher]: "We, members of Tibetan Youth Congress, started our march on foot from Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on April 9 till Bodh Gaya in Bihar. The main objective of this march on foot is to pay homage to hundreds of Tibetan brothers and sisters killed in Tibet in last two months. We will offer prayers for the peace of their souls.And through this foot walk we want to gain support of Indian citizens and government for the Tibetan cause." Tibetan diaspora all over the world are seeking an end to the Chinese repression in Tibet and have staged a wave of protests across the world especially at Dharamsala, India, home of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama.
