Czech commuters looking for a ticket to ride the Prague transport system now have the option to pay for their trip on the go. It is the mobile way to get mobile. SOUNDBITE: Unidentified man, saying (Czech): "It is perfect. When you forget to buy a ticket, you just write an SMS and it's done. Perfect." The purchase goes like this, the commuter sends a text message outlining when and where they'll travel and after a couple of minutes gets a return message confirming the trip. Ticket agents can check the reference number to make sure the person travelling without a ticket has indeed paid. SOUNDBITE: Ondrej Peceny, Prague Traffic Company spokesman, saying (Czech): "We check one of these two numbers - this long one or this shorter number after the brackets. Another possibility is to check the ticket against the mobile phone number." The mobile option is currently only available for commuters using Czech mobile phones but there are plans to allow tourists to text for travel as well. Matt Cowan, Reuters
