Chairman Sen. Daniel Inouye (D-HI) held a Commerce, Science & Transportation Cmte. hearing on on the proposed fiscal year 2009 budget for the Transportation Security Administration. The hearing included general oversight of the agency and its implementation of recently enacted statutes such as the Security and Accountability for Every Port Act (SAFE Port Act) and the 9/11 Commission Implementation Act.
