Hey everyone. I'm Izabella Wentz, a newly wed for nuptialstv.com Here to share my wedding story. In this segment I am going to tell you about the big day. We had a very big wedding party. I had nine bridesmaids and my husband had 8 groomsmen. Everyone looked beautiful. We had a sunset ceremony overlooking the ocean. A non-denominational minister married us under an all white flower arch. Rose petals covered the walkway, and we had a pianist play "Somewhere over the Rainbow" as the wedding party walked down the aisle. Of course he changed to "Here Comes the Bride", once my dad and I walked down the aisle. Michael and I wrote our own vows and almost started crying while saying them. I was actually memorizing mine earlier that day while I was getting my hair done. Cocktail hour followed the ceremony. We had a steel band play, while waiters passed around hor's d'vours of sweet potato crab cakes, Caribbean shrimps, sesame chicken and jerk tuna kabobs. We had a five-layer cake that I helped design. During the cake cutting, I was so nervous, that I accidentally ate the cake myself before feeding it to my new husband! Everyone started laughing, and said it was the best moment of the wedding! I was so embarrassed, and I'm sure the moment was caught on video, Our first dance was 18th Floor balcony by Blue October. A friend of Michael's gave us the CD on our way to Arizona, and it served as kind of a soundtrack for us, we had never heard of that band before, but really likes all of their songs. We wanted our guests to be able to eat a variety of foods, and not just be stuck with one entrée. We originally requested a family style arrangement, but since we had so much food, the chef had the main courses and sides layered out as a buffet, while the appetizers were placed on the tables family style. I wanted to include red meat, fish and chicken choices, as well as vegetarian dishes so that everyone would find something that they liked. For our main courses, we decided on Sugar cane Cornish hens, Seafood Paella, salmon and beef Wellington. The food was excellent. My maid of honor, a friend for over 10 years gave an incredibly sweet speech, followed by the best man's speech. We hired a DJ which everyone loved and danced to all night.
