Supermarket Flasher Also Facing Kiddie Porn Charges 5/18/06 Noon Joan Murray A Publix Supermarket employee has been fired after he allegedly exposed himself to two young girls but the flashing incident isn't the only sex crime the suspect is being investigated for. He's also under investigation for a kiddie porn collection on his home computer. According to BSO, Chad Srogi, 23, a former employee of a Publix in Weston, 294 Indian Trace, exposed himself to two sisters, ages 4 and 7, while they were in the store with their mother on April 6. Srogi, allegedly stood in the frozen food section and lifted his apron in front of the girls, exposing his genitalia. Other women shopping nearby didn't even notice and he allegedly flashed the young sisters four times. The girls told their mother what had happened a few minutes later but the mother doesn't speak English very well and she did not report it to authorities. She did report it the next day at BSO'S Weston substation. Publix cooperated fully in the investigation, terminating Srogi's employment and supplying detectives with in-store photos taken when he allegedly exposed himself to the girls. The BSO Sex Crimes Unit launched an investigation and soon learned that the LEACH (Law Enforcement Against Child Harm) Task Force was also investigating Srogi. On Tuesday May 16, BSO Sex Crimes detectives arrested Srogi on four counts of Lewd/Lascivious Exhibition. LEACH detectives have also served a search warrant on his "photo sharing account" at www.ringo.com, based on a complaint from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators say Srogi's account contains more than 500 images of children, most of them girls under 12 years of age, including some in diapers. Srogi gave detectives a statement admitting that he exposed himself in Publix, but claiming that he forgot to close his zipper and inadvertently touched himself because of an uncomfortable hygiene condition. Detectives anticipate filing additional child pornography charges and are asking any other victims to contact them through the BSO Sex Crime Unit at 954-321-4240.
