The Bulls visited the New York Knicks without Pippen who was out for the 35th straight game. Kukoc had the flu and wasn't able to play either. The Knicks were without Patrick Ewing. From the beginning New York was taking the ball to the hoop, finding open players and getting Chicago into foul trouble. Oakley was abusing Rodman in the low post and Jordan, who had three fouls early in the game, couldn't hold Houston either. But the Bulls managed to stay in the game. In the second half it was Jordan who kept the Bulls going. He went into scoring mode and was clutch again in the 4th quarter with a crucial three-point play and a minute remaining on the game clock. The Knicks missed their last shot and the Bulls came through, 90-89.
