Favorable weather and better organization helped relief and recovery efforts in Eustis over the weekend. Thursday's twister did more than $6 million worth of damage, mostly to a residential area near downtown, WESH 2 News reported. The Red Cross was in Eustis Saturday checking on tornado victims and serving meals for the volunteers in the area. Saturday was moving day for Mary Woodworth and her family after the tornado pummeled their house, making it uninhabitable. They'll now call a motel home. "Eventually, we're going to rebuild, fix it and do what we need to do to get back into it as soon as we can," Woodworth said. According to reports, seven homes were destroyed, 41 received minor damage and another 41 homes were somewhat affected by the storm.
