Mark Ridout always enjoyed taking pictures through highschool but it wasn't until he moved to Lindsay from his hometown of Brantford that he started photographing his friends weddings. "What started with a couple of weddings a year, has now grown to over 20 weddings per year along with portrait and commercial work", Mark says. Mark is a creative photographer whose expertise extends to a range of mediums and formats. He is particularly proficient at still shoots where subjects are people, product or vignettes. He has an aptitude for staging as well as putting people at ease. Mark uses traditional 35mm, high resolution digital as well as medium format Hasselblad equipment. He has worked as a photo journalist for major newspapers and magazines,with major advertising agencies on corporate accounts and on special assignment for corporate client's. Mark has been the principal photographer on contract shoots in the United States, France, England, Cuba and the Dominican Republic as well as various locations throughout Canada. Mark has photographed Richard Petty for STP,Al Jarreau,Sheila E and sipped champagne from the Stanley Cup after photographing it for a New York Rangers hockey player. "Those jobs are the icing on the cake", says Mark. With Mark's introduction to digital photography and the ProShow line of software, he has been able to add a unique competitive edge to his photography business. "ProShow is an important piece of my photography equipment. It has changed the way I do business." says Mark
