BSL stands for Breed Specific Legislation, and it is, in the very least, discrimination and racism. Breed discrimination is sweeping the nation, affecting Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Boxers, Mastiffs, Great Danes, Saint Bernards, and more. Already Denver, Miami, and the Canadian province of Ontario have passed this law, forcing innocent, loving owners to hand over their beloved family members for unjust euthanasia, else they must move from their homes...or stay to become criminals to protect the ones they love. For example, it would be like seizing all of the people with the last name of Johnson and euthanizing them, just because a man with the last name of Johnson was sent to jail. Now does that sound like equality, life, and liberty to you??? BAD OWNERS = BAD DOGS The real problem here is not the dogs, it is the owners. So many of these innocent animals have been forced to fight to the death, starved, beaten, and several cases show pit bulls which have had acid poured on them and also some which have been set on fire. DID YOU KNOW? *Pit bulls are the least likely breed to attack anyone? *They are loving and gentle *The American Pit Bull Terrier scored 83.4% on the behavioral test, while the COLLIE (aww, Lassie) SCORED A MERE 79%?! Responsible owners will be the only ones affected by breed bans. Outlaws, irresponsible owners, and owners of bad dogs don't care. Most of these poor Pit Bulls, such as Akeera, found in a tiny crate, with no food or water, nothing but her own waste, came out of these horrible ordeals, and are still full of love and goodness. Akeera now has a loving family. Another loving Pit Bull was seized from his home for 17 months. by the Australian govt. His owner had to pay $40,000 in court to bring him home. Pit Bulls are not the killers that the media wants you to believe. Don't hate what you don't know. Discrimination because of this breed is IGNORANT. I'm sorry to all those of you disagree. I'm sorry you live in ignorance of loving Pit Bulls. I'm sorry that you are scared of them. I'm sorry that you would rather punish the puppy, than the person who poured acid on it. PUNISH THE DEED, NOT THE BREED.
