This weeks On the Green takes us to Lake Metigoshe where the resort course is still going strong after three decades. Perry Olson takes us to Birchwood Golf Course. (Perry Olson - KX News) Birchwood Golf Course in the Turtle Mountains is promoted as 'North Dakota's Original Resort Golf Venue and when you look at who plays here that may be a good slogan. (Brent Castleman - Birchwood GC) We do see people from all 50 states. Just last week we saw them from Texas and the east and west coast making it interesting. This Metigoshe area is a genuine tourist stop especially with the Peace Garden close to us as well. (Perry) Birchwood is a course to take advantage of when you are in the northern part of the state and it may be tough to find a better deal than this. (Brent) We do run some promotions like on Friday for four dollars you can golf all you want after four o'clock. You will never run into a men's night for ladies night we are always open. (Perry) Located right near Lake Metigoshe you'll feel as though you are in a different part of the country playing this nine hole layout. (Brent Castleman - Birchwood GC) We see Moose come across our course maybe as often as other courses see deer! You'll see all sorts of animals on the course. (Perry) Monte Knudtson from Harvey is this week's winner of two free passes from Birchwood in the Turtle Mountains. 'On the Green', I'm Perry Olson.
