In a mixture of spots and stripes, two four-legged best friends were presented to the public on Thursday (May 22) in the eastern German town of Magdeburg. Jack, the four-year-old dalmatian and his best friend, Bombay, the white tiger cub have grown up together with Circus Williams and have become bosom buddies. Bombay was born in America, but after being rejected by his mother, was sent to Germany, where she has been cared for by Circus William for the last six months. She and Jack hit it off immediately and can now be seen playing together and cuddling into one another. For people driving past the pair, it comes as a bit of a shock. "You don't see this sort of thing every day. I have a great cat at home but when you see a big cat like that in nature it is crazy. Especially as it is that close. It's great, " Kerstin Granz said. In the wild the pair would have a slightly different relationship, but animal trainer Manuel Wille says dalmatian Jack is in no danger. "They play together. And when they play with each other, something happens. He hits with his claws and it hurts and then she also uses her claws. It is the same with big animals. When they play with each other they hit each other with their claws. And it is the same with the dog and the animal. She tries to nip him and the dog nips back. It is give and take. I don't think there will be any problems," said Mille.
