With a 37-18 victory over River Hill, Friendly would complete their season 14-0, and stake claim to the Maryland 3A State Football Championship. Throughout the season the Patriots had a swagger and confidence on and off the field, to include among other things a pre-kickoff dance routine that would draw an unsportsmanlike penalty in their final game. But with the title well in hand, not even the officials could keep Head Coach George Earley's team from dancing their way to the school's third state championship.
