After weeks of did they or didn't they, the marriage of singer-actress Beyonce Knowles and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is official. The couple filed papers with the town clerk's office in Scarsdale, a New York City suburb. A lavish private celebration was held in Manhattan on April 4, but the pair have been mum about the details of the wedding. Barbra Streisand has cancelled a planned performance in Israel for an event marking the Jewish state's 60th anniversary, citing personal obligations. An Israeli newspaper though speculated that Streisand pulled out because U.S. President George W. Bush also plans to visit in conjunction with the celebration. Richie Sambora, lead guitarist for the rock band Bon Jovi has been charged with drunk driving. Sambora was arrested in March in the Southern California community of Laguna Beach. Prosecutors rejected a recommendation by police to also charge the guitarist with child endangerment because there were two minors in his car when he was stopped. Good news for Ewan McGregor. The gambling drama "21" narrowly ended the three-week reign of "Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!" at the foreign box office last weekend. "21," a surprise hit in North America, earned 10 million dollars (USD), thanks to a strong weekend at No. 1 in Britain and Russia.
