Elton John performing the song he and Bernie Taupin wrote together in 1978 this one is called Ego and all though it never did really take off big it was indeed an excellent song as is any song John/Taupin writes together.This is the 1980 free central park concert which was done in hopes John Lennon might show up but no such luck. This was done in September and John Lennon got killed in December 1980. This was so close to John Lennons apartment he could actually hear it. My mother was in attendance at this concert and told me people were hanging from trees. Its estimated that between 400 and 425 thousand people showed up for what in my opinion is Eltons greatest concert of all time.
