Steve wakes in Ava's room, groggy and naked. Ava tells him she had a talk with his wife and Kayla agreed to give Ava the baby. It's payment for him leaving Ava at the altar. Steve dresses and explains how he was once in love with Ava, but it wasn't a love that would last. He pleads with her to let the past stay there. She has to give up on them. Ava can't; she's obsessed. Getting Steve back is all she's lived for. Steve gives up. She can have him as long as she lets the others go. Ava still doesn't trust him. Steve tells her she doesn't need Kayla's baby, they can make a baby of their own. Ava tells him to prove it. Steve gives her a big, juicy kiss and says he'll have sex with her right now but she has to realize he's still very much in love with his wife. Ava accepts the offer and kisses him deeply. John and Philip have it out at the DiMera mansion. Marlena acts as a mediator between the two. Both John and Philip hold their ground, neither willing to give an inch. Once Philip leaves, Marlena lets John know she's disappointed in him. He knows, but this business gives him a reason to get up in the morning. Marlena gives him a reason and kisses him passionately. John is affected, but pulls back, telling Marlena he's got a date for dinner. Chelsea's fever has spiked again and both Kate and Daniel are worried. Lexie doesn't understand why they can't stop the infection. Abe arrives and Lexie fills him in on the missing foursome. She knows something is wrong. Abe promises he will find them. Tony shows up and tries to take Kate's mind off of Chelsea by talking business. She has a big commercial shoot for her new product line coming up. They need to go over ideas. Kate can't focus. She's too worried about her granddaughter. Chelsea tells Daniel she wishes he wasn't her doctor and tries to explain but gets too embarrassed. It's becoming obvious Chelsea has a major crush on the hunky doctor.
