Thio Says Korean Growth to Slow But Inflation Will Stay

Thio Chin Loo, a senior currency strategist at BNP Paribas SA, talks with Bloomberg's Catherine Yang from Singapore about the performance of the Korean won, Taiwan dollar and Chinese yuan, and the outlook for Bank of Korea and People's Bank of China monetary policies. The Bank of Korea kept interest rates unchanged at 5 percent, the highest in almost seven years, saying inflation is accelerating and economic growth will be slower than forecast.
