Reese Witherspoon on producing
 Source: MediaScrape
She's won an Best Actress Oscar, but Reese Witherspoon says producing movies gives just as much satisfaction. On a Tokyo visit to promote women's health and safety issues on behalf of Avon, the A-list actress said producing films, like the recent film "Penelope", is a natural progression after more than 15 years in the movie business. SOUNDBITE: REESE WITHERSPOON, ACTRESS "I've learned a lot from over 15 years in the business, being on sets and working with really talented people. I try to ask a lot of questions and observe what people are doing, and feel like I've learned a lot, so using those observations to then make my own films has been very satisfying." "Penelope" has earned over $20 million in the U.S. and overseas, while Witherspoon is set to next appear in the yearend film "Four Christmases" with Vince Vaughn. The 32-year-old Witherspoon, though, says critical or commercial success isn't setting her agenda when it comes to acting or producing projects. SOUNDBITE: REESE WITHERSPOON, ACTRESS "Every film isn't made to make critical success, every film isn't made to make money. I try to vary the goals that I have within the film making world. There's a lot of different reasons that you make films, but I love the art of it, too, just collaborating with different artists, it can be a very beautiful art form, and I definitely enjoy my job. It's nice." Eventually on tap for Reese Witherspoon, a mother of two, may be directing, although she joked it would likely happen when she doesn't have two small children running around the house.
