A nine year investigation has led to a major drug bust in Stutsman County, and federal charges against nine people. Authorities are calling it... operation white cloud.... Nine people are indicted on federal drug trafficking conspiracy charges... They all face a minimum of 10 years in federal prison. The alleged ringleader of the group is 29-year-old-Michael Sanmiguel Jr. of Jamestown.. He faces a minimum of 20 years in federal prison. U.S. Attorney Drew Wrigley says it's a wide-spread drug conspiracy involving cocaine, marijuana and meth. He alleges the group is responsible for distributing large quantities of drugs throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, and other locations. and as I said already, I believe they are going to be cooperating defendants and even more will be cooperating in the case so I do expect more arrests. Authorities have been keeping a close eye on the players in this drug conspiracy for nearly a decade... And it was just a few months ago when they say the final pieces fell into place...llowing them to make these arrests.
