An appreciative crowd of more than 5,500 fans watched Saturday afternoon as reigning Olympic and world champions Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh of the United States captured their second consecutive Swatch-FIVB World Tour gold medal in the center of the German capital. In validating their 2005 FIVB World Championship title at the Schlossplatz in Berlin, the top-seeded May-Treanor and Walsh scored an 18-21, 21-15, 15-7 win in 45 minutes over second-seeded Juliana Felisberta Silva and Larissa Franca of Brazil to capture the $600,000 Smart Grand Slam.
