One day, I felt like interviewing my teacher at school, Mrs. Yasuyo Inoue. She's a great teacher who's also the most fun, so of course I have a lot of stories to tell about her. However, I think showing a little bit of who she is and how she's like will help my stories out a bit more. As for the interview itself, it's done pretty much in Japanese as she doesn't know any English(it's also a part of conversational practice in my part, even though as you can hear, it's still pretty bad). Here are translations, as I dunno how to subtitle: Me: Hello. Inoue: Hello! Me: First off, er just a sec..(turns camera) ..okay, this is Billy. (turns camera back) Okay, cool. Inoue: oh this is Billy okay (laughs) Me: haha, okay. First off, can you introduce yourself for us? Inoue: My name is Inoue, and I teach Billy's class at the Fukuoka Japanese Language School. I'm 28!! Me: haha, you're 28, huh? Inoue: (;P) (laughs) Inoue: It's so hot in here! Me: Yeah, it is! Okay anyway, first: When did you start teaching at this school? Inoue: Ahhh, since last October. Me: Oh c'mon, stop sayi-..stop saying nice things to me please. =T (laughs) Me: Hold up, just a sec, just a sec- Inoue: ? Me: Ehh?! 8D Inoue: EHH?!?! 8D (laughs) Me: Okay, ummm...why did you become a teacher? Inoue: Ahhh, hmmm....lemme see...well for one thing, it's so I can become friends with people from all over the world. Me: I seee. Okay, what's your dream? Inoue: My dream? Hmmm...someday I wanna try teaching at a college. Me: Oh really? Ain't that admirable? Inoue: (laughs) Me: haha, okay. What's your hobby? Inoue: Ah, various things. Me: Various things, eh? For example.. Inoue: Hmm, making sweets... Me: Ah of course. They always taste great. Inoue: ..hmm...playing the contrabass..sleeping..(laughs) ..Oh, and also sewing with my sewing machine. Y'know, it goes "adatatata-" Me: ..oh. OHHHH, okay. I see.(It took a second for me to figure out that last part) Inoue: Right. Oh, and I also love conversing! Me: Ooh I see. Hmmmmm....... hmm..... sorry, I'm making up these questions while doing the interview right now.. Inoue: Heehehe. I also want to go to the US! Me: Oh really? Where to? Inoue: Ah it's a big place so I dunno. Where do you think is good? Me: Oh, well there're various nice places..like uhh California, New York and so on.. Inoue: Yeah, I've never been. Me: Washington DC is...real boring. Inoue: Oh? Me: Yeah, please don't go there. Inoue: Ah, is that so? Ahh I wanna go to America. Me: Hmm. If you manage to go there, what would you like to do? Inoue: Hmmmmm...I wanna go driving around in a huge environment there while looking at the scenery. Me: Ah, is that so? Inoue: Also the Statue of Liberty! haha..oh, I also wanna see a musical there! Me: Is that so? What kind? Inoue: Ahhh one that I can understand. But I don't understand English, I'm gonna study it. Me: Ah okay. Good luck with that! Inoue: Yes. Me: Hmm....you've been to Korea before, right? Inoue: Why yes, I have. Me: Was it fun? Inoue: Yes it was! I love Korean food. Me: Ah, really? For example..? Inoue: Hmm, I like kimchi, ...hmm..chige? Me: Chige? What kind? There're various kinds. Inoue: Tofu-chige. (hot and spicy Korean soup with tofu added in) ..with cold noodles going "nuru-nuru" inside. (laughs) Me: To be honest, I hate Korean food. Inoue: Oh really? Me: Well it's not that I hate it, but back at home, my mother always made Korean food for me to eat, so I usually like eating other types of food. Inoue: Ahh. Me: Okay, and finally: if Doraemon and Sailor Moon got into a fight, who would win? Inoue: I think they're about equal. (Sailor Moon pose) (laughs) Me: haha, teacher hold up, just a se-..."Oh my god!" (laughs) Inoue: It's because they're both(..I forget what she says here, sorry) Me: Haha, is that so.
