On November 11th., 2006, a Route 66 8oth. Anniversary Party was held in Galena, KS. at an old Marathon filling station. Making his first public appearance was "Tater", an 1951 International tow truck that was the inspiration for the "Mater" character in the Pixar movie "CARS". Other VIP attended and Route 66 tv online.com was taping for a future documentary about Route 66's growing popularity.
