Michigan-Left, W 12 Miles + Halstead, Farmington Hills
Duration: 1:57Source: YouTube
I do believe this is first Michigan-Left video on youtube-sphere. I searched tabs of Michigan left but I could not find it. Well this highway engineering marvel creates quite few backing-ups in rush hours of weekday mornings and afternoons. Anyway this Michigan left turn is quite confusing for someone coming from outside of Michigan. Honestly I made quite few mistake left turn at the intersection, which is pretty dangerous road hazards for local Michiganians. I may still misunderstood! But here is what I understand about this wicked left turn business. Okay, not all intersections are designed as Michigan-Left. Anyhow at Michigan Left turn intersections, first you have to make a normal right turn, and go for a while and execute lane change to left lane. Then you need to make a left turn to go back to the desired left turn direction. This final 'left turn' could be a signal-controlled turn or uncontrolled turn so you have to watch for incoming traffic. I will look for more visible michigan Left turn around Detroit area. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michigan... http://www.michiganhighways.org/indep... Ooops, I was wrong.... I was at curb overlooking from Huntington Banks and Kroger's parking lots near W 12 Miles Road and Halsted Road, Farmington Hills, Michigan, USA.
