The Dall's Porpoise (The Largest Hunt Of Cetacean Species)
Duration: 2:50Source: YouTube
The Dall's Porpoise is a uniquely marked black and white cetacean species of marine mammal and is believed to be the fastest swimmer of all the small cetacean species of marine mammals. They are only found in the oceans of the North Pacific and travel in small groups of ten to twenty animals. Unfortunately they are victims of the largest hunt of any cetacean marine mammal species in the world. Thousands are taken each year for food by the Japanese in their coastal waters, with Japan's Fisheries Agency issuing permits to kill roughly 17'700 Dall's Porpoise's every year. The E.I.A (Environmental Investigation Agency) has routinely documented this hunt calling it unsustainable and unregulated. Please add your weight to the campaign to help protect the magnificent Dall's Porpoise, by writing a polite and concise letter to the government of Japan asking that they cease this unnecessary and unsustainable hunt of this marine mammal species. This video was uploaded with permission from E.I.A ((Environmental Investigation Agency) Thank You
