"A relationship plan is that thoughtful, proactive, part of what you know and what you do A relationship plan is who is this person? Who are you?" says Dr. Jackie Black, author of Meeting Your Match, Cracking the Code to Successful Relationships. Many single people are afraid to be too picky. They are afraid to say what they want and who they are. They are afraid to own who they are. You need to figure out who you are and what you are looking for. Make a list with as much detail as possible. The time to be picky is before you commit to a relationship. This relationship will be for life, so it is important to be specific about your needs and values. Make a Proactive List: What do you love to do? What are your values? What is your temperament? How do you spend your leisure time? What is important to you? It isn't enough to just like someone. There are a lot of nice people out there, but ask yourself: What do they think? What do they know? What do they believe? What are their hopes and dreams? When you can answer all these questions about you and the person you are dating, then you have a relationship plan. This plan will lead you to discover whether this person is your perfect match or not. This is a life long commitment, be picky and be certain.
