Bas Rutten trains Kimbo Slice to take on veteran MMA brawler David "Tank" Abbot at the main event of the next EliteXC card slated for Feb. 16, 2008. After a highly publicized background featuring multiple street fights, which made him an Internet legend, Kimbo made his official MMA debut in November at the last EliteXC event, defeating Bo Cantrell in 19 seconds by TKO. The fight between Kimbo and Abbott was originally set to take place as part of the Cage Fury Fighting Championship promotion in New Jersey in October, but due to financial problems the promotion canceled the event and the fight never happened.
