According to Bolton the WMD spin was the fault of the British Government. Except the Pres and gang couldn't stop mentioning it, mushroom clouds were even mentioned. From the cosy confines of Washington he inferes he would chose to live in a failed state rather than a Dictatorship. Again he chooses to forget what's good for the people of Iraq, who in response to polls say their lives are far worse now than pre invasion. He doesnt believe dismantling the apparatus of state, disbanding the Police and Army & de-Baathification were mistakes. Except most others in Washington all appear to, as do the Iraqis. The puppet government in Baghdad is now attempting to bring the Baathists back into the political process. He believes America has no responsibility to make the Iraqi government succeed, implying all he cares about was the overthrow of Saddam. Which means when America selects an enemy, one which presumably doesn't actually have WMD or other means to defend itself, the post invsion outcome is really nothing to get tangled up in. Except of course the result of the Iraq project is that the eventual ruler will be a puppet of Tehran, not Washington.
