Ohio St Buckeyes running back Chris "Beanie" Wells suffered an injured right foot in their win against Youngstown St on Saturday. The star running back has been wearing a protective boot and has been receiving treatments to his injured foot over the past few days. Head coach Jim Tressel told the media on Saturday that Wells' X-Rays came back negative for a fractured foot. His status for Ohio St's big game against the USC Trojans on September 13th is up in the air. It will be a battle for Florida bragging rights as the Miami Florida Hurricanes travel to face Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow and his # 5 ranked Florida Gators. The game is schedule for primetime Saturday at 8PM ET and to be televised by ESPN. Florida is coming off a 56-10 win over Hawaii on Saturday as the Gators rushed for 255 yards on the ground. Miami disposed of Charleston Southern 52-7 on Thursday by out gaining the team from the Football Championship Division by a 416 to 126 margin. Miami Florida is coming off a dismal 2007 by finishing the regular season at 5-7 and missing a bowl game. The Gators are currently a 21-½ point favorite against the Hurricanes. The #4 ranked Oklahoma Sooners will host the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday at 3:30PM ET to be televised regionally by ABC. Oklahoma was an offensive machine last season averaging over 42 points per game. The Sooners are led by sophomore quarterback Sam Bradford who broke the NCAA record for touchdown passes by a freshman with 36 last season. Cincinnati is strong in the secondary with seniors DeAngelo Smith and Mike Mickens among the top cornerback tandems in the nation. Oklahoma is a 21-point favorite.
