They have turned out in huge numbers for Barack Obama and for Hillary Clinton. Young Democratic voters from across the country appear energized this year by the prospect of voting for two historic candidates--- the junior Senator from Illinois-- who if elected would become the countrys first African-American president-- and the junior senator from New York-- who would become the countrys first female president-- if she wins in November. Obamas rallies have been impressive-- packing in crowds at college campuses across the country. SOUNDBITE: (English) Student Kristen Harris saying: "Barack Obama made politics cool again. And its really cool and exciting to be involved and care about the issues. Its not so far removed from us anymore." Hillary Clinton has also recognized the importance of young voters--- addressing a gymnasium full of college students on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
