Student Spotlight - Bishop Ryan
 Source: ClipSyndicate
Summer has already started for many kids around the region. That is the case at Bishop Ryan High School in Minot where graduation ceremonies were held this past weekend. Today one of their top graduating seniors is in our 'Student Spotlight'. It is Anne Charley. (Anne Charley - Bishop Ryan Graduate) My class was the first 6th grade class at Bishop Ryan so we have been here seven years. The thing I appreciate most about this school is that it is smaller and therefore close-knit. We have a leadership program here and I've been able to do that for the last few years. I have been able to do my own thing with other classes and write a grant. They have been great in letting my design my own program. I really liked my sixth grade teacher. She was really great and I'm still close to her. I do a lot of volunteer work especially with special needs kids. It is my passion. I volunteer for special olympics and this year I wrote a grant for an after school program for special needs kids. I also do other things like key club and honor society. I am a musician so I help out with litergies here. I would love to go to the University of Mary and major in early childhood and special education. I'd like to teach younger special needs kids or work as a case worker with younger developmentally delayed infants. OUT ON STILL STORE #7052 Congratulations to Anne and to everyone who picked up their diplomas at Bishop Ryan this past weekend especially these top graduates. And tonight at ten, we'll meet the co-valedictorian, Anne's sister Jane.
