In this segment, residents watch Lanark Village Water and Sewer District Chairperson Barbara Rorhs, along with her secretary Carol Reynolds, stage the resignation of Commissioner Sharon Thoman, or so it seems. Their actions appear an attempt to derail the asset transfer and merger of LVWSD with Carrabelle. On February 1 2008 at approximately 11:01 Barbara Rorhs held another meeting to stage Sharon Thoman's un-resignation. A viewer should ask if Barbara Rorhs, actions without a quorum of the seated commissioners, is yet another desperate poker bluff to hold up the asset transfer and merger that the majority of Lanark Voters and property owners want. Ms. Rorhs claims in her February 1, 2001 that she spoke to Governor Charlie Christ's office and the Governor's Office told her that the Governor had not signed the official document stating Ray Courage was officially a LVW&SD Commissioner and that Rohrs should hire an "outside" attorney (not Brian Armstrong) to contest the County Commissioner's appointment of Ray Courage. Yet, Governor Charlie Christ's office claims that he is not interested in local issues. The people of Lanark Village Water and sewer district deserve to hear what Governor Charlie Christ has to say about the actions of a lone elected LVWSD commissioner attempts to force her will on the voters. The next official Lanark Village Water and Sewer District meeting is Monday February 4 at 5:30 pm in Chillas Hall Lanark.
