One of the toughest shots to master, yet Joe has it in the bag. You can too.. Golf Tips Episode “Hook shot” Joe Beck: Joe here, check this shot out. We can’t go over, and we can’t go through it, we have got to go around it. I’m going to show you how to hit a hook shot around this tree onto the green. It requires some unique set up, so let me go through it with you real quick and make sure you have it exactly right to hit the shot. Here is how it works, you want to make sure your club face is lined up at the target and then your body is going to be lined up in the direction that you want the ball to start. So here is the club face at the target, and then here is my body to where I want it to start. The reason why I need to line it up that way is because on the downswing I have to follow my feet, the ball is going to start off right of the tree and then hook its way back into the flag. Let me show you how it works, walk up and make sure the club face is right in line with the target. Then set your body up to where you want the ball to start because it is going to hook in from there. Then as you swing through your going to follow your feet and then roll the club over so the ball will hook starting right of the tree back to the target. That’s what I’m talking about. Key points: 1. Club face aimed at target 2. Aim body and feet right of target 3. Roll hands and club over on follow-through
