The Minot State men's Basketball team travels to Point Lookout, Missouri tomorrow for the NAIA division 2 men's basketball national tournament. The Beavers come in as the DAC champions and will meet up with 7th rated Northwestern, Iowa in the tournament opener. The Beavers are making their 2nd trip to the tournament in four years and while they might be considered the underdog, the team feels good about it's matchup and the it's late season surge. Mike Hultz, MSU men's basketball coach:They're a big time transition offensive team. They'll leak out and throw the ball the length of the floor so we got to get back in transition and they got a lot of three point shooters. We got our work cut out for us. I think the good thing is is I think we're gonna be more athletic than them. It doesn't sound like they take a lot away from you defensively. And so hopefully it's a game that we'll be able to score and really come down to us getting back in transition and finding a way to get a stop. Jessie Ford, senior:We can surprise a lot of people. We should hopefully make it to the championship round. We got the potential but we all got to play hard together we should make it there. Matt Witwer, senior:We're just trying to have fun but we're trying to win and you know what? I think we can do well down there. String together a couple good games and get to the final four or something.
