This is part two of three of the video "The Big Tornadoes" (that's not its original name, for whatever reason the producers of this videotape decided to rename it. The original title of this video was "Terrible Tuesday" and was made in 1984). This is a tornado safety film that focuses on the Wichita Falls, Texas tornado that occurred on April 10, 1979. This was an F4 tornado that was nearly a mile and a half wide. Part two continues with the overview of how Wichita Falls would handle a disaster. It also discusses how watches and warnings are issued and how Doppler radar is a "new" tool used to detect tornadoes. Also an explanation of NOAA weather radios and storm spotters are featured in this clip. Unfortunately, no tornado footage is seen in this clip. Part three does include more footage of the Wichita Falls tornado along with others. Anticyclonic also has a Wichita Falls tornado video, which has some rarely seen footage at the end: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr2nw9qXuG0
