Seating Charts A new original musical "Pazzazz!" will open in Santa Barbara this June! The musical comedy will have its world premiere at The Granada. The play is set in the colorful period of the turn of the last century in New York. The story involved a very young George M. Cohan before he became "King of Broadway" and two vaudeville comedians who had their own theatre which caused a storm of envy from the ruthless syndicate of the time. The Greatest stars of the day played Weber and Fields Broadway Music Hall and New York's society elite flocked to their shows. Other characters involved in the plot include the flamboyant "Diamond Jim" Brady, the beautiful Lillian Russel and two desirable yet laughable "bad guys" and their cohorts. The premiere production at The Granada will feature a full pit orchestra under the musical direction of Richard Allen. The executive producers are Milt and Arlene Larsen who are longtime Montecito and Santa Barbara residents. Milt is best known for creating the private club for magicians in Hollywood, The Magic Castle. They have been great supporters of Theatre and felt that Pazzazz would be the perfect production to introduce the newly refurbished Granada to the public. pazzazz thumb CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT PAZZAZZ!
