With realistic controls and gameplay it set the bar for skateboarding games. Skate 2 doesn't take anything away from what the previous title had done, In fact it has actually improved on many of the things missing from the original. For example; Once you find locations and specific points in the city, you can now bring up your map and teleport to those specific points making less travel time and more trick and skating time. However this also has a negative side because if you rely on jumping from point to point it takes away from the exploration type of feel thatis embedded in the game.Another great feature added is your character can now step off of the skateboard and run around. This makes life so much easier when trying to line up ramps and grinds to makethe perfect trick. There's very little changed in terms of graphical differences, and yes you still have that annoying talking cameraman following you. Unfortunately for someone new to the game, you'll need a good while to learn the controls - so be patient with it. Skate 2 is a great game, however even with the added features there still isn't a huge jump from skate 1. For those reasons I would just recommend this title.
