The 19th century in Australia wasn't a good time and place for the Irish. Ned Kelly was one of those who had it rough: door, framed for a crime he didn't commit, harassed by police when he finally got set free. When three officers are killed by Kelly's gang, a kind of Robin Hood mystique forms around the bunch. Their legend is sealed in fate in the showdown at the Glenrowan Inn.
