Un kamikaze a tué au moins quinze personnes et blessé deux ministres sri-lankais - celui des postes et des télécommunications et son collègue de la culture - dans un attentat perpétré devant une mosquée du sud du Sri Lanka. Cette attaque est survenue au moment où des dirigeants politiques de l'île assistaient à une réception dans la ville d’Akuressa, à 160 kilomètres au sud de la capitale, Colombo.
