En el Iom HaZicarón, Israel rinde homenaje a los soldados de Tzáhal caídos en defensa del Estado y a las víctimas fatales de los atentados terroristas. El día se conmemora todos los años en la víspera del Día de la Independencia, para poner a esta celebración en perspectiva y darle su significado especial: el Estado de Israel no fue servido en bandeja al Pueblo Judío sino que éste luchó para garantizar la existencia de su Estado independiente. 06/05/08
