hey guys, It was time to do some maintenance on my 2002 Honda Accord EX 4-cyl. I also noticed that my heater wasn't working. Considering I live in New England, heat is a very appreciated luxury. I decided to flush my engine coolant system. In the process I also replaced my engine thermostat. I adjusted my interior temperature control knob from cool to hot and saw that the heater control valve was indeed moving nominally. I felt the hoses going into my heater core and noticed the bottom (input to heater core and heater control valve) hose was hot and the top (output from heater core) hose was cold. I immediate feared the worst...I was going to need a new heater core. : ( I removed the heater control valve and noticed some play in the arm that controls the valve. Upon further inspection, I saw that the plastic part of the valve had deteriorated and needed to be replaced. Of all the places I looked online, I didn't see another case of this, so I decided to post on youtube for others to benefit. Hope this helps! ~Jiggynjive
