This is a video I made to describe Decimus's gladiator mode strategy as Prince Aldon, which works for pretty much every gladiator (I don't use it for the stationary whirler, the flailer, the archer and the sorcerer). Basic strategy: - Hold back+attack to retreat until you get a good distance. - Jump and then time the slash so you hit the enemy's neck/head. Against the stationary whirler (this begins at around 2:40 on the video): - I strongly recommend getting this guy first. I battled with him as #11 on my run, and it took ages to beat him. - If you get him first, bashing at him turns out to be quite effective. - If you get him significantly after first, use the basic strategy, but with a twist: just as Prince holds his sword back, pause. This will allow you to gain the distance you need faster. Against the flailer: - Stand very close to him, and hold attack. Against the archer: - Defend and advance between arrows. When you're near him, kick and attack. Against the sorcerer: - Hold guard and stand still. When he teleports near you, attack between the magic balls (watch out for the ones coming from above!)
