a national guard soldier is wanted for not appearing in court for a d- w-i trial. the problem is, he’s currently serving in iraq and will be deployed until next summer. antoinette antonio explains why the d-a's office says it had no choice but to issue a warrant if it wants justice to be served. it's tonight's top story. 26 year old jordan pratz has been in the national guard for two years. his father says being in the military is something he wanted to do since high school — especially after nine-eleven. so how did the soldier end up with a bench warrant -- while fighting operation iraqi freedom? according to court records-- pratz was arrested for his second d-w-i in march. a few weeks later -- he got his marching orders to serve overseas. but while deployed, pratz missed a trial date -- set for september 14th. yesterday, a judge issued the bench warrant at the request of the d-a's office
