It’s been 25 years since metal maestros Spinal Tap exploded onto the scene in their cult movie classic, and they’re celebrating with a new album, a new tour, and a special shout-out for ET! 'This Is Spinal Tap' premiered in theaters in 1984, and now David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) are revealing what the group is calling their "long-self-suppressed" studio versions of songs from the movie, as well as six new tracks. The album, called Back from the Dead, which hits record store shelves on June 16, will also include an hourlong DVD audio commentary that breaks down the music track by track. Press materials proclaim the album is "that perfect combination of Loudness, Vulgarity and a pinch of Evil," while St. Hubbins says, "This album title says it all. We’re back from the dead. But we weren't dead. But we definitely are back."
